It’s soup season! As the weather turns cold many of us look for ways to find comfort. It might be digging out the sweaters from the back of the closet or turning up the heat. But many of us dive into creating warm, nutritious, and filling soups to satisfy our need for comfort.
But what if your pantry was empty of ingredients? What if you didn’t have the means to run out to the grocery store and stock up?
I ask you today to help stock the pantries of families who do not have adequate access to food all the time. You’ll provide not only much needed nourishment…but you’ll also be satisfying a need for comfort that they may not otherwise find.
Your local food assistance organization, Stark County Hunger Task Force, has been busy over the
past few months setting up new distribution sites to provide access to more families in need. Just last week our new site in Massillon served over 180 families in two hours. Families took home healthy foods and shelf staples. We see every day just how dramatic the need is for access to healthy food for our community. Please help today. Thank you!
P.S. $1 = 7 pounds of food for hungry kids this summer and all year long. Please support our Giving Tuesday Campaign with a generous gift today―any amount you can give will make an enormous impact.
