Bulldogs vs. Tigers — who will collect the most food to feed Stark County’s hungry?

Food-Fight-650wide

McKinley-Massillon Food Fight 2015: football rivals compete to feed Stark County: these two high schools will once again take their infamous rivalry off the football field to compete in the 2015 Food Fight challenge. The school which collects the most meals/pounds will receive a day at the Pro Football Hall of Fame, on-air bragging rights on Mix 94.1 and News-Talk 1480 WHBC plus a traveling trophy! For the past three years, the McKinley Bulldogs have dominated the Food Fight, bringing in 16,794 pounds of food in both monetary and non-perishable donations.

The fight against hunger doesn’t crosses football rivalry boundaries — over 59,000 Stark County residents are hungry, and one in four children does not know where their next meal may come from. That’s why, unlike on the football field where only one team can prevail and bring home the coveted victory bell everybody wins in the McKinley-Massillon Food Fight.

Will 2015 be another victory for red and black, or will the Tigers usurp their title?

Only YOU can decide!

Supporters young and old can show which colors they bleed by dropping off non-perishable food donations beginning Monday, October 19th through Friday, October 30th at the following locations:

  • Massillon Washington High School
  • McKinley Senior High School
  • Pro Football Hall of Fame (make sure to put your donation in the appropriate team’s bin!)
