Important Emergency Pantry Operation Changes
Effective Monday, October 5th, Stark County Hunger Task Force will be moving their pantry operations back inside of the Ken Weber Community Campus at Goodwill. Here are the important changes effective Monday, October 5th.
- We will remain open five days a week, Monday-Friday. Our hours will be as follows: Monday 9:15am-2:35pm, Tuesday 9:15am-2:35pm, Wednesday 9:15am-3:35pm, Thursday 9:15am-1:35pm, and Friday 9:15am-1:35pm. Clients can go through our pantry once a month.
- We will be moving back to hard ticket times, tickets will be available at Goodwill reception starting at 8am. Tickets will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis. When the tickets are gone for the day, we cannot allocate anymore appointments for that day. Tickets must be picked up in person.
- Clients will also receive a menu of pantry items when they pick up their ticket. They will check the menu items that they wish to receive. This can be filled out prior to their visit or when they arrive to the waiting room. However, filling it out in advance will speed up the intake process.
- When clients arrive for their appointment they will go to the new waiting area in room 1410 of the Goodwill Campus. This room is located on the corner of the Aultman Blvd. and Dueble Lane hallways. We ask that clients not arrive any earlier than 10 minutes before their appointment. A face covering is required to enter the building and to enter our waiting area. Social distance will be practiced at all times. Clients will remain in the waiting area while a volunteer shops for them in the pantry. After they complete their order, the volunteer will call their name and assist them to your car. They will then load their groceries into their vehicle or walk the client to the bus stop. A photo ID is required for all pantry visits.
