Join the local arts community and feed your creativity, your belly, and your conscience at the 2nd Annual Palette2Palate art exhibition and charity auction.
Located the beautiful Joseph Saxton Gallery of Photography on Cleveland Avenue, right in the heart of Downtown Canton’s Arts District, Palette2Palate will feature a variety of pieces both created and donated by 20 of Stark County’s talented photographers, potters, and painters. Their work, inspired by the theme of local hunger, could be yours to take home that very evening through both live and silent auctions.
Online ticket sales are LIVE!
All proceeds benefit the SCHTF, its 30 member pantries, and the 27,000 hungry individuals and households we feed every month.
Auctioned off at the debut of Palette2Palate in 2013, Canton artist Nancy Stewart Matin’s Eggplants Should be Chocolate is the striking watercolor painting chosen to be the “face” of Palette2Palate 2014. The painting aptly represents the vibrancy of this fundraising event, which brings together a variety of talented local artists working toward a common goal: to help their community fight hunger in Stark County.
About the Artist:
Nancy Stewart Matin is a signature member of the Ohio Watercolor Society, and her work resides in the permanent collections of several Stark County institutions, including the Canton Museum of Art, where she has served on the board of trustees; the Massillon Museum; and The Little Gallery in the North Canton Public Library.
