Stark County Hunger Task Force is pleased to announce the launch of their Summer Backpack for Kids Program. This will be an eleven week program, running every Friday from June 8, 2018-August 17, 2018. Backpack bags will be available every Friday from 9am-2pm at the Stark County Hunger Task Force offices, located in the Ken Weber Community Campus at Goodwill. Children between the ages of 4-17 are eligible to receive backpack bags. Parent/guardians can pick up bags at Stark County Hunger Task Force, located at 408 9th St. SW, Canton, OH 44707, parent/guardian must present a photo ID.
Stark County Hunger Task Force volunteers will be on site to assist with intake and distribution of bags. Bags will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis. Enrollment in the Backpack for Kids program during the school year does not guarantee service during the summer. The bags will be similar to the bags received during the school year; containing 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 snacks, and 2 drinks.
